Four members of a family, including retired schoolteacher Ganapati Chakraborty, were killed at their home in Rangpur after allegedly confronting two young men over Yaba use. The suspects, cousins Mugdha Das (23) and Siddhartha Das (19), were detained on August 23.

Police said the pair had accessed the rooftop through a neighbouring building and later scattered household belongings in an attempt to make the killings appear to be a robbery.
